Here at Malibu Horses we try to give horses who have been dumped by their owners a second chance and a  job..a way to make a living for themselves...(usually of course not fully supporting themselves because they eat alot and require space and care;especially to recover.). 

I hope at some point it becomes a crime to use up a horse's entire life for selfish egotistical social climbing nonsense and then let them starve and suffer alone in their old age. This also goes for the same people who think it is ok to shoot your horse up with drugs to mask his pain from the oh so fun OVER JUMPING you do with no skill or balance or dressage training on your part whatsoever. High Class horse abuse. Do people realize that at the end of every barn isle at most of our "A" rated hunter/jumper shows there is a 2 gal Sharps container full of used needles from drugs used all day on the horses to mask pain..or increase their speed...or calm them down.....what the f kind of human animal does that???

MHI Herd is growing due to the fact that when I see this I'm forced emotionally to take the animal away from this kind of treatment and insanity...

Pepper after! 4 months later..she has gained lots of weight and has lost her thick itchy coat. 5.18.11

To rehab a horse can cost thousands of dollars and regular upkeep and care is $500-800 a month. When the horses can work by doing some lessons or easy trail rides it can help this cost but most definitely does not ever fully pay for it all. If you are feeling generous please donate to Pepper in any amount.

Also know that all of the money made through lessons and trails goes to the regular upkeep of these amazing animals.
